Our DJ program is an 8-week, in-person course designed to give students a strong foundation in the art of DJing. Throughout the program, students learn skills including:

• Counting music and understanding song structure
• Music curation and library organization
• Beat matching and blending
• Preparing for live performances
• Professional Development

Please note: Students are required to have access to a personal laptop, Serato DJ Pro, headphones, and a DJ controller. We carry a limited number of loaner controllers available for students in need.

There is a tuition cost associated with the program, which is discussed upon acceptance. Payment plans may also be available.

❋ How much is it?

While we don’t have the upcoming class schedule available just yet, classes are typically held on Saturdays and Sundays between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. We’ll share the full schedule for each location when applications open, so you’ll have all the dates and details you need before making your decision.

Enrollment also includes course materials and resources, a 60-minute 1:1 session with your instructor, professional artist headshots, a live graduation showcase, access to paid gig opportunities, and continued support within the HDC community.

We are a DJ-centered community rooted in the craft, the culture, and connection. Our goal isn’t just graduating the program; it’s staying engaged, growing together, and contributing to a vibrant, long-lasting community of women DJs. The HDC mission is to empower women and gender-expansive individuals through music and culture while advocating for their fair and equitable treatment in the music industry.
